In 2021, our founder Kelly set out to rescue a dog.
Originally searching for a Doberman, he came across a listing nearly eight hours away featuring a medium-sized dog that was clearly not a Doberman.
Something about her stood out.
Kelly made the drive.
When he met her, the decision was immediate. She was calm, cuddly, and easygoing, the perfect companion. What he didn’t realize at the time was that he had just adopted an Australian Kelpie… a true working dog.
He named her Maddox, a nod to his childhood dog, Madison.
It didn’t take long to understand what that meant.
Maddox wasn’t just a pet she was built for purpose.
Driven. Focused. Always on.
And from that moment on, Kelly made it his goal to give her the life she was meant for.

Kelpies aren’t common in the U.S., and finding high-quality gear that reflected working dog culture felt nearly impossible.
And the more he thought about it, the clearer it became:
